ABOUT CAROLE

CAROLE MATTHEWS

Certified 500 hr Yoga Instructor

Located in Toronto, Canada, Carole has been teaching yoga since 2015 and practising for over 20 years.

"Initially, the physical practice of yoga brought me to the mat, helping my body stay strong and flexible. But it was the pranayama (breathwork), the meditation, the philosophy and deep yogic traditions that kept me coming back.

I was introduced to these practices on the mat, but I soon noticed their presence off the mat. I began to feel calmer, more grounded and centered after each class. I gained more awareness to my breath, both on and off the mat.

The pranayama and meditative side of yoga had been seamlessly woven into the classes, and they flowed off the mat and into my daily life. While gaining strength, balance and mobility through the poses, the mat is a safe place to witness breathwork, meditation and mindfulness. Experience them on the mat, then take them off the mat and see where they take you!
